University's project for the Design and Development of Robots class of the 6th semester of the Mechatronics Engineering degree. This project presents the design and development of an automated welding cell aimed at improving the efficiency of automotive component assembly. In collaboration with ABB, a robotic system was implemented using the industrial IRB 4600 robot, equipped with the Precitec YW52 welding head.

My responsibilities included the layout design, fixture design, and robot load analysis. The system integrated conveyors for part movement, a positioner for handling multiple parts, and a Cognex In-Sight D900 camera for automated quality inspection. The proposed solution reduced welding time by 9%, ensuring high precision and compliance with industry standards, significantly boosting manufacturing productivity.
