Duration
Aug 2024 - Present

The Fatigue Test Stand for Control Surfaces Deflection Mechanisms is a component of my research project, 3D-Printed Compliant Joints for Morphing Wings. This project aims to develop a testing platform to evaluate the durability and performance of deflection mechanisms used in aircraft control surfaces.

By simulating real-life operating conditions, I assess how these mechanisms respond to repeated loading and unloading cycles over time. My responsibilities include designing the test stand, establishing testing protocols, and selecting appropriate sensors for monitoring deflection and stress levels during tests. Through data analysis, I aim to identify potential failure points and optimize the design of control surface mechanisms.
