The Rectangular Control Surfaces Optimal Sizing Generator is a MATLAB application designed to facilitate the design process of control surfaces in aircraft. This tool provides with an efficient means to calculate the optimal dimensions and configurations of rectangular control surfaces based on lifting surfaces inputted by the user.
The application is based on the equations presented by Mohammad H. Sadraey in his book Aircraft Design: A Systems Engineering Approach. By integrating parameters such as lift, drag, and stability considerations, the application allows users to receive optimized sizing recommendations.
